Zakat: is called the financial assistance of people who have property equal to the measure of wealth, to those in need for the sake of Allah. Muslims who do not have financial difficulties have to give one-fortieth of their property as zakat once a year. Every Muslim who has the intelligence, has reached the age of puberty, has no debt and has property equal to the 'nisab' amount has to give zakat. Zakat can be given to the poor, those who have difficulty in obtaining their daily food needs, debts, and those who are on the road.
